Bohemians and Cork City played an exciting match at Cork’s Turner’s Cross, corresponding to the third round of the 2025 Irish Premier Division. The match, played on February 28th, ended in a 2-1 victory for Cork City.
Bohemians started better, taking the lead in the 21st minute with a goal from K. Buckley. However, Cork City reacted quickly and equalized in the 35th minute with a goal from S. Maguire. The second half was very contested, with numerous yellow cards for both teams (three for Cork City and three for Bohemians). Finally, R. Keating sealed the victory for Cork City with a goal in the 83rd minute. Despite dominating possession (57% to Cork City’s 43%) and creating more scoring chances (18 shots to 10), Bohemians could not avoid defeat. The expulsion of R. Cornwall in added time added drama to a vibrant encounter.
