ST Mirren edges out Motherwell in a fiery clash
Motherwell and ST Mirren engaged in a thrilling encounter at Fir Park, with ST Mirren emerging victorious with a 3-2 scoreline.
The match kicked off with an early goal from K. Phillips for ST Mirren in the 9th minute, courtesy of an assist from E. Bwomono. Motherwell responded with a penalty goal from L. Miller in the 19th minute. Miller grabbed his second goal in the 44th minute, putting Motherwell in the lead. However, ST Mirren drew level in the 50th minute with a goal from M. O’Hara. The second half was marked by a flurry of yellow cards and a red card for Motherwell, as well as a red card for ST Mirren, leading to a tense conclusion.
In the 47th minute, D. Casey of Motherwell received a red card, followed by a yellow card for A. Halliday in the 48th minute. ST Mirren also saw a red card in the 61st minute, this time for S. Tanser. Despite the intensity of the game and the dismissal of two players, ST Mirren managed to secure the win with a goal from M. O’Hara in the 50th minute.
