Kosovo thrash Cyprus in UEFA Nations League
Kosovo secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Cyprus in their UEFA Nations League match held at the AEK Arena in Larnaca. The match was defined by Kosovo’s efficiency, scoring five goals despite having only one corner kick.
Vedat Muriqi opened the scoring in the 9th minute with a penalty kick. Muriqi found the back of the net again in the 21st minute with a regular goal, putting Kosovo up 2-0. In the 48th minute, Amir Rrahmani, who came on as a substitute at halftime, scored the third goal for the visitors.
Llorient Dellova, another player who came on in the second half, extended the lead in the 55th minute. Finally, Kosovo capped off the scoring with another goal by Dellova in the 60th minute, securing the 5-0 win.
Cyprus, on the other hand, couldn’t find their rhythm in the game and barely posed any threat to the opposing goal.
