Al Sadd crushes Al-Arabi SC in a dominant performance
Doha, Qatar – Al Sadd showcased their superiority on the field against Al-Arabi SC in the third round of the Stars League, with a resounding 5-0 victory. The Doha team’s dominance was evident from the first minute, with a fluid and effective game that left their rivals with no options.
The match started at a fast pace, marked by a yellow card for Al-Arabi SC in the 7th minute. However, the opening goal came in the 8th minute through a penalty converted by Rodrigo Mujica, who put the score at 1-0. Al-Sadd continued their dominance, and in the 19th minute, Akram Afif extended the lead with a quality goal.
Mujica scored again in the 26th minute, assisted by Afif, further cementing Al Sadd’s victory. The second half was no less intense, with the visiting team looking to close the gap. Despite this, Al Sadd continued to dominate, and in the 60th minute, Giovani scored the fourth goal, assisted by Paulo Otavio.
The fifth and final goal came in the 89th minute, once again through Rodrigo Mujica, who consolidated himself as the hero of the match.
Al Sadd imposed themselves with overwhelming dominance in possession (56%) and in the number of shots (19), of which 11 were on target. Al-Arabi SC, on the other hand, managed only 8 shots, of which only 2 reached the goal.
Al Sadd consolidates itself as one of the teams to beat in the Stars League, while Al-Arabi SC will have to work hard to overcome the poor start to the season.
