ST Mirren Upsets Rangers with 2-0 Victory at Ibrox
ST Mirren secured a surprising 2-0 win over Rangers at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow on February 22nd, 2025. The Premiership match, refereed by K. Clancy, was a tightly contested affair marked by a higher number of fouls committed by the home side.
Despite Rangers dominating possession (65%), ST Mirren proved more clinical in attack. Mandron broke the deadlock in the 51st minute, assisted by Ayunga. Olusanya added a second goal in the 70th minute to seal the victory.
Yellow cards were shown to Mandron and Ayunga for ST Mirren, and Igamane for Rangers. Despite Rangers having more shots (15 to 10) and corners (11 to 3), ST Mirren’s finishing proved decisive.
