Miranda de Ebro, March 3, 2025 – Mirandés defeated Tenerife 2-0 in a hard-fought match at the Estadio Municipal de Anduva, corresponding to round 29 of the Segunda División. Despite having less possession (43%), the home team showed greater effectiveness in attack. Izeta was the star of the first half, missing a penalty in the 25th minute but scoring a goal immediately afterwards. In the second half, A. Reina sealed the victory with a goal in the 68th minute, assisted by H. Rincon. Tenerife dominated possession (57%), but their lack of accuracy (1 out of 11 shots on target) and Mirandés’ solid defense prevented them from scoring. The match was marked by tension, with a total of 29 fouls (13 by Mirandés and 18 by Tenerife) and four yellow cards, one for Mirandés and three for Tenerife. Despite Tenerife’s territorial dominance, the victory went to the home team thanks to Mirandés’ greater attacking efficiency.
