Marseille Unleashes Goal Storm at Home After Le Havre’s Red Card
Marseille, France – In a match filled with emotions and twists, Olympique de Marseille convincingly defeated Le Havre by a score of six to two at the Orange Vélodrome. The match, corresponding to the eighth matchday of Ligue 1, was marked by the early expulsion of Le Havre player G. Lloris in the 34th minute.
Despite starting with a goal in their favor in the 24th minute, scored by Y. Kechta assisted by I. Soumare, the red card changed the course of the match. Marseille took advantage of the numerical superiority, quickly equalizing thanks to a penalty converted by M. Greenwood in the 35th minute.
The second half was an offensive monologue by Marseille, led by an inspired M. Greenwood, who added three additional goals in the 67th, 72nd and 76th minutes. R. Vaz also joined the goalscoring party in the 88th minute. Le Havre tried to react at the end of the match, with a goal from A. Toure in the 90th minute, but Marseille sealed the victory with a goal from M. Murillo in the same minute.
