Levadiakos Dominates Possession but Lamia Holds Firm in Tense Match
Levadiakos edged out Lamia in a closely fought encounter at the Stadio Levadias on April 28th, 2025, in the fifth round of the Greek Super League 1 Relegation Round. Despite a clear possession advantage (60% to Lamia’s 40%), the final score reflected a narrow victory for the home side.
Levadiakos created more attacking opportunities, registering 11 shots on goal (two on target), but a lack of clinical finishing prevented them from extending their lead. Lamia, in contrast, offered little threat, managing only two attempts, neither of which tested the goalkeeper.
The match was a tense affair, with a total of 28 fouls committed (15 by Levadiakos and 13 by Lamia). Three yellow cards were shown: two to Levadiakos (E. Cokaj and P. Symelidis) and one to Lamia (C. Soria).
Despite their territorial dominance and chances created, Levadiakos failed to convert their superiority into a more emphatic victory. Lamia, with a resolute defense, prevented a rout and demonstrated their resilience against the home side’s pressure.
