Own Goal Decides Tense Match as Zlin Edges Karviná
Karviná, Czech Republic – A costly own goal by J. Fleisman in the 4th minute gifted Zlin a victory in a match largely dominated in possession by Karviná, who failed to translate their dominance into goals. The match, played at the Městský Stadión, was a tense affair, reflected in the numerous bookings and a sending-off.
Karviná controlled possession with 64%, creating 10 shots, although only one was on target. Their lack of precision in attack proved to be their downfall. Zlin, with 36% possession, barely threatened the opposition goal, managing 6 total shots, none of which were on target.
