Morocco Seals Semifinal Spot in Rabat with Victory over Cameroon
Rabat witnessed an intense match at the Complexe Sportif Moulay Abdellah where Morocco secured their place in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 semi-finals after defeating Cameroon. Despite a favorable ball possession for Cameroon (59%), Morocco proved to be more effective in front of the opponent’s goal.
The first goal of the match came in the 26th minute, courtesy of B. Diaz, assisted by A. El Kaabi, unleashing euphoria in the local crowd. Cameroon tried to react, but encountered a well-organized Moroccan defense. Morocco, on the other hand, generated nine shots, three of them on target, demonstrating their greater offensive threat. Ultimately, the match concluded with a victory for the home team.
