Azerbaijan and Belarus played out a thrilling 1-1 draw in a friendly match at the Bank Respublika Arena in Masazir on March 25th, 2025. The game, part of the second round of friendlies, saw almost even possession (50% each). While Azerbaijan had more shots on target (2 to Belarus’ 5), Belarus proved more clinical. P. Zabelin put Belarus ahead in the 59th minute. However, N. Demchenko scored a late equalizer for Belarus in the 78th minute, assisted by M. Ebong. Both teams displayed a high level of intensity, evident in the numerous fouls committed (10 by Azerbaijan and 14 by Belarus). The match ended 1-1, with one yellow card shown to each side (A. Gavrilovich for Belarus and M. Emreli for Azerbaijan). Despite the draw, the game was full of excitement and chances for both teams.
