Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven played a thrilling match in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg at the Emirates Stadium in London on March 12th, 2025. The match, officiated by Rade Obrenovič from Slovenia, ended in a close 3-2 victory for the home side.
The Gunners started strongly, with a goal from Zinchenko in the 6th minute, assisted by Sterling. Rice doubled the lead in the 37th minute, again assisted by Sterling. However, PSV Eindhoven fought back with goals from Perisic in the 18th minute and Driouech in the 70th minute, making for a tense finish. The game was characterized by its intensity, with numerous fouls committed by both sides and yellow cards for Kiwior, Rice, and Sterling for Arsenal, and Babadi for PSV. Arsenal slightly dominated possession (51%), while PSV had more shots on target (5 vs 7). Despite the win, Arsenal struggled to see out the game.
