Chesterfield Edges Out Accrington with Lone Goal Victory
Accrington, Lancashire – Chesterfield secured a 1-0 victory over Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium this Saturday, May 3rd, in a League Two matchday 46 clash. The only goal of the game arrived in the 32nd minute, courtesy of Will Grigg.
Despite dominating possession with 66%, Chesterfield couldn’t manage a more comfortable win. Accrington, with 34% possession, put up a fight and created some chances. The home side registered 10 shots, with only 2 on target, while Chesterfield had 10 shots, 5 of which were on target. The difference in clear-cut chances proved decisive in the final result. Both sides received yellow cards, one for Chesterfield and none for Accrington.
