In a thrilling match played at the Estadio Bellavista de Ambato, Técnico Universitario defeated Libertad 2-1 in the second round of the 2025 Ecuadorian Liga Pro season. The match, refereed by Byran Loayza, was marked by high intensity and numerous yellow cards. Técnico Universitario dominated possession (51%) and created more scoring chances, with 21 shots (7 on target). The goals came in the 32nd minute, through J. Ordóñez, assisted by E.
