Late Goal Earns PSV Eindhoven a Draw Against Olympiakos
Piraeus played host to a hard-fought match between Olympiakos and PSV Eindhoven at the Stadio Georgios Karaiskáki, as part of the UEFA Champions League group stage. Olympiakos took the lead in the 17th minute through a goal by G. Martins, assisted by Chiquinho. Despite dominating possession with 60%, PSV Eindhoven struggled to find an equalizer. The parity finally arrived in the last minute of regular time, when R. Pepi scored for PSV, unassisted.
The match, refereed by Clement Turpin from France, was intense and tactical. Olympiakos, with 40% possession, generated 18 shots, although only 4 were on target.
