Sport Boys Upset Melgar in Callao with Narrow Victory
Callao, Peru – In a hard-fought match held at the Estadio Miguel Grau, Sport Boys secured a victory against FBC Melgar in a game corresponding to the 15th matchday of the Clausura tournament in the Peruvian Primera División. The home team, despite having less ball possession (33%), capitalized on their chances to make the difference.
The lone goal of the match came in the 44th minute, courtesy of L. Nequecaur, who put Sport Boys ahead just before halftime. Despite FBC Melgar’s dominance in possession (67%) and their 15 shots, only two were on target, highlighting a lack of sharpness in attack.
