Viborg rolls over Vejle in an exciting match
Vejle was unable to cope with an inspired Viborg which took the victory with a resounding 5-0 score in a Danish Superliga match, played at the Vejle Stadion on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
The game started with Vejle trying to control possession, but Viborg quickly gained control of the ball and began to generate danger in attack. The opening goal came in the 45th minute, when Jacob Grønnin converted a penalty.
In the second half, Viborg continued its dominance, with Serginho (55th minute) and I. Jensen (65th minute) extending the lead. A. Ementa became the hero of the match, scoring in the 68th and 85th minutes to seal the rout.
Vejle tried to react, but yellow cards to R. Jensen (44th minute), H. Barry (54th minute) and L. Hujber (74th minute) complicated their attempts to comeback.
Viborg was superior in all facets of the game, with 55% possession, 19 shots (10 on target) and 5 goals. Vejle, on the other hand, had 45% possession and only 4 shots on target.
