Ural takes victory over Rotor Volgograd in a thrilling match
Ural beat Rotor Volgograd 2-1 in a match of the ninth round of the Russian First League, played at the Ekaterinburg Arena in Ekaterinburg.
The game started at a slow pace, but the intensity increased in the second half. Rotor Volgograd had the first big chance but couldn’t capitalize. However, in the 63rd minute, Vladimir Morozov scored the first goal of the match for Rotor Volgograd.
Ural reacted quickly and tied the game in the 90th minute thanks to a goal from Marko Sekulić. However, Ural’s joy was short-lived, as Sekulić received a red card in the same minute for a foul on a Rotor Volgograd player.
In stoppage time, Ural took the win with a second goal from Sekulić, leaving Rotor Volgograd with ten players on the field.
Ural took the victory thanks to a great comeback, while Rotor Volgograd was left with the feeling of having lost two points in the final minutes.
