Universitatea Craiova secures a convincing win over Unirea Slobozia
Craiova, Romania – Universitatea Craiova secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Unirea Slobozia in a Romanian Liga I match.
The match was characterized by Universitatea Craiova’s dominance, controlling possession and creating the majority of goal-scoring opportunities.
The goals came in the second half. Sergiu Baiaram opened the scoring in the 38th minute with a precise shot assisted by Andrei Ivan. Just four minutes later, Baiaram scored again, this time assisted by Nicolae Bancu, to make it 2-0.
Unirea Slobozia struggled to penetrate the opposition’s defense and only managed to generate one clear goal-scoring chance, which was saved by the Craiova goalkeeper.
The game was marred by several yellow cards and a red card. Iulian Dinu received two yellow cards for a hard tackle and was sent off in the 84th minute.
In the final play of the match, Alexandru Mitrita sealed the result with a goal that made the final score 3-0.
Universitatea Craiova consolidates its position at the top of the table with this victory.
