UMM Salal defeats Al Shamal in an exciting match
Al Wakrah, Qatar – UMM Salal beat Al Shamal 4-2 in an exciting match of the second round of the Qatar Stars League, played at the Al Janoub Stadium.
The game started with UMM Salal dominating, who quickly took the lead with a goal from V. Lekhal in the 7th minute. The striker scored again in the 27th minute, this time assisted by O. Tannane, to extend the lead. In the 46th minute, A. Mance completed the initial goal.
Al Shamal reacted in the second half, but without achieving the comeback. B. Bounedjah scored a penalty in the 81st minute, and in the 90th he scored his second goal to make the final result.
Despite the loss, Al Shamal dominated ball possession (67%), shot more times (21 shots) and took more corners (12) than UMM Salal, but their opponent’s effectiveness made the difference.
