Toluca routs Tijuana in an exciting match
Toluca de Lerdo, Mexico – Toluca achieved a resounding 4-0 victory over Club Tijuana in a match from the 7th round of the Liga MX Apertura 2024. The match was played at the Estadio Nemesio Díez with a great atmosphere and left Toluca fans with a smile from ear to ear.
The first goal of the match came in the 39th minute, thanks to an own goal by A. Rodríguez. In the second half, Toluca stepped up the pace and extended the lead with goals from M. Ruiz in the 51st minute, J. Angulo in the 79th, and Paulinho in the 90th.
Toluca dominated the match with 51% possession, shot on 19 occasions (7 on goal), and executed 8 corner kicks. Club Tijuana, on the other hand, had 49% possession and managed just 9 shots (2 on goal).
