Sporting Kansas City thrashed Colorado Rapids in a thrilling match
Kansas City, Kansas – Sporting Kansas City defeated the Colorado Rapids 5-1 in a thrilling match played at Children’s Mercy Park. Alan Pulido opened the scoring for the home side in the 8th minute, and then scored his second goal in the 49th minute.
Kansas City’s dominance became apparent in the second half, with Erik Thommy scoring two goals in the 69th and 82nd minutes. Thommy received assists from William Agada on his first goal and from Daniel Salloi on the second. Salloi also contributed to the victory with an assist on Pulido’s goal in the 49th minute.
The Colorado Rapids pulled one back in the 75th minute with a goal from Michael Edwards, but they couldn’t do anything to prevent the defeat.
