Carlos A. Mannucci thrashed Sport Boys in a vibrant match
Callao, Peru – Carlos A. Mannucci achieved a resounding victory over Sport Boys in a match played at the Miguel Grau del Callao Stadium. The encounter, corresponding to round 8 of the Peruvian First Division Clausura tournament, was marked by the effectiveness of the visiting team, who triumphed 6-2.
The first half began with a goal from Ángel Benítez in the 22nd minute, taking advantage of an assist from Mauricio Llontop. Luis Urruti extended the lead for the Trujillo side in the 36th minute, and Alex Succar scored the third just five minutes later, with an assist from Urruti.

The discount was not enough to lift the spirits of the pink team. Urruti scored the sixth goal for Mannucci in the 90th minute, sealing the victory for the Trujillo team. Sport Boys managed to score again in the 86th minute, thanks to a penalty converted by Fernando Roca.
Possession of the ball was divided (66% for Sport Boys and 34% for Carlos A. Mannucci), but the difference was felt in their effectiveness in front of goal. Mannucci shot 14 times, 10 of them on target, while Sport Boys only managed 5 shots on target out of a total of 14.
Despite the defeat, Sport Boys had more possession of the ball and shot more times, but their lack of accuracy and Mannucci’s effectiveness ultimately determined the outcome of the match.
