FC Vitebsk defeated Smorgon in a dominant home performance
FC Vitebsk secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Smorgon at home in a Belarusian Premier League matchday 23 encounter. The game was played at the Stadyen Junatstva in Smorgon on September 28th, 2024.
The home side dominated from the outset, taking the lead in the 27th minute through K. Vardanyan, who converted a penalty kick. In the second half, FC Vitebsk extended their advantage with two more goals. S. Egorov netted the second in the 48th minute, while D. Girs completed the scoring in the 82nd minute.
Smorgon, on the other hand, failed to create any real threat in attack and were outplayed by the dominant FC Vitebsk. The visitors also received four yellow cards, while FC Vitebsk only saw one.
