FC St. Gallen beats Slask Wroclaw in an emotional match
Wrocław, Poland – FC St. Gallen beat Slask Wroclaw 3-1 in a UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying round match that was marked by the expulsion of three players from the Polish team.
The game began at a high pace, with both teams looking to control the game. The first goal came in the 21st minute when Brian Toma scored for St. Gallen after an assist from C. Akolo.
Slask Wroclaw responded strongly and managed to tie the score in the 41st minute thanks to a goal from P. Schwarz. The Polish team took the lead just two minutes later with a goal from P. Samiec-Talar, and extended their lead in the 45th minute with a goal from A. Petkov.
St. Gallen managed to reduce the deficit in the 90th minute with a penalty converted by W. Geubbels.
