SKU Amstetten defeats SKN ST. Polten in a tense match
SKU Amstetten secured a 1-0 victory over SKN ST. Polten in an exciting encounter in the third round of the Austrian 2. Liga, played at the NV ARENA in St. Pölten. The match was marked by the expulsion of T. Hulsmann from SKN ST. Polten in the 45th minute and a series of yellow cards.
Despite the early expulsion, SKN ST. Polten maintained control of the ball in the first half, but failed to generate clear scoring opportunities. In the second half, SKU Amstetten took control of the game, constantly looking for the opposing goal. Finally, in the 74th minute, S. Wimmer scored the only goal of the game, assisted by J. Wanner, to give his team the victory.
SKN ST. Polten tried to react and, despite the numerical disadvantage, managed to equalize the game in the 79th minute with a goal by S. Skogen, assisted by A. Neumayer. However, they could not secure the win and were left with a single point.
SKU Amstetten achieved an important victory that places them in the top part of the standings, while SKN ST. Polten remains with one point in this third round of the league.
