Santos overcome Ponte Preta in a thrilling match
Santos, São Paulo – In a vibrant match at the Estádio Urbano Caldeira, Santos defeated Ponte Preta 3-2 in the 24th round of the Serie B.
The match started with a clear dominance of Santos, who managed to open the scoring in the 24th minute with a goal from Giuliano, assisted by Wendell. Just three minutes later, Jeh from Ponte Preta saw the yellow card.
Santos continued their pressure and extended their lead in the 33rd minute with a goal from João Basso, assisted by Weslley Patati.
Ponte Preta reacted with the expulsion of Elvis, who received three yellow cards in the 45th minute.
In the second half, Jeh discounted for Ponte Preta in the 56th minute, but Santos managed to maintain the lead.
The match became more exciting when Jeh scored his second goal in the 90th minute, but there wasn’t enough time for more.
