Sanfrecce Hiroshima thrashes Kaya in AFC Cup
Hiroshima, Japan – Sanfrecce Hiroshima secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Kaya in the opening match of the 2024 AFC Cup group stage, held at the Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima Stadium. The Japanese team dominated the game with an offensive and effective performance.
The first goal came in the 38th minute, courtesy of a header from D. Vieira following a precise cross from M. Mitsuta. The lead was extended in the 54th minute with a shot from G. Paciencia, again assisted by Mitsuta. The third and final goal arrived in the 64th minute, courtesy of O. Iyoha, who capitalized on a pass from Mitsuta to finish with confidence.
Kaya, on the other hand, displayed a poor performance and barely threatened the Sanfrecce goal. The Filipino team had to settle for defeat after witnessing their opponents display superior play in all aspects.
