Rosario Central edges Atlético Tucumán with a late goal
Rosario, Santa Fe Province, August 26, 2024. Rosario Central secured a 1-0 victory against Atlético Tucumán in a match corresponding to the second phase of the Argentine Professional League, on matchday 12. The only goal of the game came in the 83rd minute, courtesy of a brilliant finish by Juan Giménez, who received an assist from Emanuel Coronel.
The match was characterized by an intense pace and a fairly balanced game. Rosario Central controlled possession (52%), but Atlético Tucumán proved to be more dangerous in attack, with 12 shots (2 on target). However, Central’s effectiveness in the second half was crucial in claiming the three points.
