Rangers thrash Motherwell in a thrilling match
Glasgow, August 10, 2024. Rangers dominated Motherwell in an exciting encounter that ended with a resounding 3-1 victory for the “Gers”.
The match started at a frenetic pace, and Rangers took the lead in the 13th minute thanks to a goal from C. Dessers, assisted by M. Diomande. However, Motherwell reacted quickly and equalized in the 17th minute with an own goal from R. Propper.
Rangers didn’t back down and regained the lead in the 24th minute with a goal from V. Cerny, assisted by J. Tavernier. The rest of the first half was played with intensity, but no further goals were scored.
In the second half, Rangers maintained control of the game and sealed the match in the 89th minute with a third goal that, unfortunately, is not recorded in the statistics.
Rangers showed clear dominance in the game, with 68% possession and 19 shots on goal, of which 9 found the back of the net. Motherwell, on the other hand, could barely create danger with only 7 shots, of which only 1 was on target.
