QPR edges out Millwall in a tight match
QPR emerged victorious in a thrilling match against Millwall, winning 1-2. The first half was a goal-fest, with D. Watmore putting Millwall ahead in the 34th minute and M. Frey equalizing for QPR just six minutes later. The second half was more cagey, with fewer clear-cut chances. Despite QPR having more possession (60% to Millwall’s 40%), the visitors had more shots (16 to 7). Millwall had more corners (10 to 5), while QPR committed fewer fouls (9 to 12).
The match was marred by yellow cards. K. Paal and J. Varane saw yellow for QPR, while G. Saville received the only yellow for Millwall.
While not a comfortable win, QPR demonstrated their quality and ability to fight back. Millwall, on the other hand, will need to work on converting their chances into goals.
