Al Rayyan, Qatar – In a thrilling match played at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, the United Arab Emirates emerged victorious against Qatar by a score of 4-1 in the first round of the third qualifying phase for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Qatar dominated possession for much of the game, controlling the ball with a 69% possession rate. In the 38th minute, they took the lead with a goal from I. Al Hassan, assisted by A. Afif.
However, the United Arab Emirates didn’t let up and managed to equalize in the 68th minute with a goal from H. Suhail, assisted by Y. Nader.
In the final stretch of the match, the United Arab Emirates showed greater determination and scored three more goals. Khaled Ebraheim scored the third goal in the 80th minute, assisted by H. Suhail. In the 90th minute, A. Saleh scored the fourth goal, assisted by M. Hunt.
