Al Sadd thrashes Qatar SC in a thrilling match
Al Sadd secured a convincing 6-1 victory over Qatar SC in a match of the second round of the Stars League, played at the Khalifa International Stadium in Ar-Rayyan.
The match began with pace and emotions right from the start. Al Sadd opened the scoring in the 2nd minute with a goal by R. Mujica, assisted by A. Al Yazidi. However, Qatar SC managed to equalize in the 14th minute with a goal from J. Martinez.
From there, Al Sadd took control of the match and dominated with clarity. M. Waad scored the second goal for his team in the 48th minute, and B. Khoukhi extended the lead in the 54th minute.
Al Sadd continued to press and scored three more goals in the second half. R. Mujica scored again in the 89th minute, assisted by Y. Abdurisag, and M. Al Bistamy scored an own goal in the 90th minute.
Al Sadd dominated possession of the ball with 68%, while Qatar SC remained at 32%. Al Sadd’s team was also superior in terms of shots on goal (10 vs 2) and corner kicks (8 vs 3).
The victory leaves Al Sadd at the top of the table with 6 points, while Qatar SC remains with 0 points.
