Puskas Academy edges past Zalaegerszegi TE in a hard-fought match
Felcsút, Hungary – Puskas Academy emerged victorious over Zalaegerszegi TE with a 2-1 scoreline in a closely contested match on the second round of the Hungarian NB I.
The match began with an early goal from J. Plsek for Puskas Academy in the 6th minute, assisted by U. Nissila. Zalaegerszegi TE fought hard to level the score, but Puskas Academy’s defense held firm.
Yellow cards for Z. Nagy (Puskas Academy) in the 37th minute and S. Medgyes (Zalaegerszegi TE) in the 45th minute highlighted the intensity of the match. Puskas Academy dominated possession with 60%, while Zalaegerszegi TE had 40%.
In the second half, Puskas Academy received another yellow card, this time for R. Szolnoki in the 50th minute. Zalaegerszegi TE finally managed to equalize the score with a goal from M. Sajban in the 66th minute, assisted by B. Kiss.
However, the joy of the equalizer was short-lived, as Z. Nagy scored the winning goal for Puskas Academy in the 90th minute.
Despite Zalaegerszegi TE pushing for a late equalizer, Puskas Academy managed to hold onto the lead and secure the victory.
