Feyenoord thrashed PEC Zwolle with a 6-1 win
Zwolle, Netherlands – Feyenoord showed its superiority against PEC Zwolle in an Eredivisie match that ended in a convincing 6-1 win. The Rotterdam team’s dominance was evident from the start, translating into a flurry of goals that left PEC Zwolle without any options.
The first goal came early, in the 4th minute, thanks to I. Paixao who, after an assist from H. Bueno, opened the scoring. Feyenoord continued its offensive and C. Stengs scored the second goal in the 46th minute, taking advantage of an assist from I. Paixao.
The rout continued in the 51st minute with the goal of D. Hancko, who was assisted by C. Stengs. The fourth goal of the afternoon came in the 68th minute, when S. Gimenez received a pass from G. Zechiel to score. The Uruguayan striker scored his second goal just three minutes later, taking advantage of an assist from C. Stengs.
The only joy for PEC Zwolle came in the 87th minute, when F. Krastev scored for his team after an assist from None.
Despite Krastev’s goal, Feyenoord completely dominated the match, evidenced by their possession of the ball (58% vs 42%), shots on goal (8 vs 2) and the number of goals.
Feyenoord took home the three points and showed their strength in the Eredivisie, while PEC Zwolle will have to work hard to recover from this resounding defeat.
