PAOK Crushes Shamrock Rovers in Thrilling Match
Thessaloníki, August 22, 2024 – PAOK dominated Shamrock Rovers with a convincing 4-0 win in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League play-offs, played at the Stadio Toumbas. The match was marked by the dismissal of a Shamrock Rovers player and a series of goals from PAOK, leaving the Irish team with a difficult task for the return leg.
The match began with good intensity from both teams, but PAOK took the initiative. In the 45th minute, Shamrock Rovers’ own defender, D. Cleary, scored an own goal, giving PAOK the lead. In the second half, PAOK’s dominance intensified. Taison scored the second goal in the 48th minute, and G. Konstantelias scored the third in the 67th minute. To complete the rout, A. R.
