Aris Thessalonikis edges PAOK in a tight match
Aris Thessalonikis took home the victory in a thrilling match against PAOK in the 6th round of the Greek Super League 1, played at the Stadio Toumbas in Thessaloniki.
The match began at a rapid pace, with both teams looking to find the back of the net. In the 17th minute, Aris received the first yellow card, when F. Velez fouled. PAOK responded with a yellow card in the 20th minute, for G. Michailidis. Aris received a second yellow card in the 38th minute, this time for Molo.
Despite the intensity, the first half saw no goals. However, the second half started with a more determined Aris, who found the lead in the 63rd minute thanks to a goal by Molo, assisted by M. Montoya.
PAOK tried to react, but Aris held onto the lead until the final whistle. The match ended with a score of 1-0 for Aris Thessalonikis, who takes the three points and places themselves in a good position in the standings.
