Palestino edged past Cobresal in a tense match
Santiago de Chile (August 25, 2024) – Palestino secured a 3-0 victory over Cobresal in a tense and exciting match played at the Estadio Municipal de La Cisterna. The game was marked by the home side’s dominance, controlling possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities.
Palestino opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a goal by Mauricio Dávila Carvajal, assisted by Gonzalo Sosa. The “Arabs” extended their lead in the 58th minute thanks to a beautiful goal from Gonzalo Sosa, who received an assist from Iván Roman.
Cobresal attempted to fight back, but Palestino’s defense remained solid, and the team from Santiago de Chile sealed the match in the 90th minute with a goal from Bryan Vejar, assisted by Agustín E. Martinez Arce.
The match was also marked by yellow cards received by several players from both teams: J. Benitez (Palestino), J. Buss and E. Sosa (Cobresal), J. Abrigo, I. Roman (Palestino), E. Hernandez (Cobresal) and C. Mesías (Cobresal).
Palestino’s victory consolidates their position in the upper half of the league table, while Cobresal remains in the lower part of the standings.
