Novi Pazar wins a thrilling match against Cukaricki
Novi Pazar secured a 3-2 victory over Cukaricki in a lively encounter held at the Caizcoin Arena in Novi Pazar on Sunday, September 15. The match, corresponding to matchday 8 of the Super Liga of Serbia, was characterized by intensity and a series of key moments that defined the final result.
The match started at a fast pace, with the first goal coming in the 16th minute, scored by Vinicius Mello for Cukaricki. However, the visitors’ joy was short-lived, as Novi Pazar equalized just three minutes later thanks to a goal from U. Djuranovic.
In the second half, the match intensified even further. In the 40th minute, A. Mesarovic put Novi Pazar ahead, but a yellow card for the same player minutes later, along with those received by his teammates U. Djuranovic and A. Adeshina, threatened to complicate the outlook for the home team.
Despite the pressure from Cukaricki, Novi Pazar managed to maintain their lead until the 68th minute, when N. Stankovic equalized for the visiting team. However, the Novi Pazar side didn’t falter and managed to get ahead again with a new goal from A. Mesarovic in the 83rd minute.
Cukaricki tried to draw level in the final minutes, but Novi Pazar‘s defense proved solid and did not allow the visiting team to achieve their objective.
Despite the defeat, Cukaricki dominated possession of the ball (57% vs 43%) and created more chances to score (13 shots vs 16). However, Novi Pazar‘s efficiency, converting 3 out of their 8 shots on target, was key to achieving victory.
With this win, Novi Pazar is in a favorable position in the Super Liga standings in Serbia.
