Qatar overpowers North Korea in an action-packed match

Vientiane (Laos). Qatar thrashed North Korea 4-2 in a thrilling and emotional encounter in the second round of the third round of Asian qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The match began with an early goal from I. Ri for North Korea in the 19th minute, but Qatar responded with a penalty converted by A. Afif in the 31st minute. The red card dismissal of Jang Kuk-Chol in the 28th minute complicated matters for the North Koreans. A. Ali scored Qatar’s second goal in the 44th minute and K. Kang II equalized for North Korea in the 52nd minute. However, Qatar closed the scoring with two more goals: A. Afif scored his second goal and A. Ali added his second personal goal in the match, sealing the victory for his team.
