Harrison, New Jersey – New York City FC dominated the New York Red Bulls in a thrilling match that ended with a score of 7-1.
The City FC came out firing, scoring two goals in the first seven minutes. Maxi Moralez opened the scoring in the 5th minute, and Andrés Martinez followed suit in the 7th minute. The Red Bulls responded in the 28th minute with a goal from Dante Vanzeir, but the City FC wasn’t fazed and scored again in the 30th minute through Santiago Perea and in the 45th minute with Martinez’s second goal of the night.
The second half started with the same intensity, with the City FC scoring their sixth goal in the 68th minute thanks to Talles Magno. The Red Bulls couldn’t find their way back into the game and the City FC closed the account with their seventh goal, also in the 68th minute, with another goal from Talles Magno.
The City FC showed superiority on the field, with more ball possession, more shots on goal and greater effectiveness. The Red Bulls fought throughout the game, but couldn’t stop the City FC’s onslaught.
