Nantong Zhiyun defeats Qingdao Jonoon in a thrilling match
Rugao, China (September 22, 2024) – Nantong Zhiyun defeated Qingdao Jonoon 3-1 in a thrilling match at the Rugao Olympic Sports Center Stadium. The match, part of round 26 of the Chinese Super League, was marked by a series of goals, yellow cards and a red card.
Nantong Zhiyun started the match with strong ball possession and quickly found the back of the net in the 26th minute through Zheng Haoqian, who capitalized on a pass from Liang Shaowen. Nantong Zhiyun’s dominance was interrupted in the 35th minute when Liu Wei received a yellow card.
Qingdao Jonoon responded with a yellow card for P. Mu in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Nantong Zhiyun had a chance to extend the lead, but D. Puclin missed a penalty.
The second half began with a change for Qingdao Jonoon, with the entry of J. Yonghao. In the 53rd minute, I. Anthony received a yellow card for Nantong Zhiyun, but immediately after, Qingdao Jonoon scored a penalty goal thanks to E. Kangwa.
Nantong Zhiyun tried to regain control of the game and made a change in the 56th minute, with the entry of Ji Shengpan. The tension increased in the 63rd minute, when Qingdao Jonoon’s Liu Jiashen was sent off with a red card. Nantong Zhiyun continued to press and made further changes in the 74th and 75th minutes, with the entry of J. Godinez and Ma Sheng, respectively. The reward came in the 81st minute, when Zheng Haoqian scored his second goal of the match, this time assisted by Ji Shengpan.
Qingdao Jonoon made two more changes in the 84th minute, with the entry of Song Wenjie and Song Long. Song Long had a chance to score a goal in the 90th minute, but his shot was disallowed by VAR.
In the closing minutes of the match, Nantong Zhiyun made four more changes, with the entry of B. Jia, Cao Kang, I. Kallon, who received a yellow card, and finally a missed penalty by M. Boakye in the 90th minute, sealed the game 3-1 in favor of Nantong Zhiyun.
