Muangthong United beats Ratchaburi in an exciting match
Muangthong United took the victory in an exciting match against Ratchaburi at the Thunder Dome Stadium, Nonthaburi, for the fourth round of the 2024 Thai League 1.
The match started with an intense pace, and in the 19th minute, A. Promrak received a yellow card for a foul on a Ratchaburi player. The first half continued without goals, but with many opportunities for both teams.
In the second half, both teams made changes in search of victory. Muangthong United had more control of the ball and finally managed to open the scoring in the 68th minute when J. Strauss scored a goal after an individual play. Ratchaburi tried to react but was affected by the expulsion of C. Depres in the 79th minute, after receiving a red card for a foul on a Muangthong United player.
In the 90th minute, E. Roback scored the second goal for Muangthong United, sealing the victory for his team.
Despite the defeat, Ratchaburi had a higher ball possession (52%) and more shots on goal (3) than Muangthong United (4). However, the effectiveness of the Nonthaburi team in attack and Depres’ expulsion were decisive for the victory.
