Millonarios defeats Envigado with a resounding victory
Bogotá, D.C. – Millonarios triumphed over Envigado this Sunday in a lively match played at the Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín. The capital team dominated the encounter from the start, holding 56% possession of the ball and registering 16 shots, 7 of which were on target.
The first goal came in the 26th minute, scored by D. Mantilla, who capitalized on a precise pass from D. Silva to break the deadlock. Envigado attempted to fight back, but Millonarios’ defense proved solid and did not allow the visiting team to create real danger.
In the second half, Millonarios continued to push forward and extended their advantage. D. Silva scored the second goal in the 77th minute, thanks to an assist from S. Giordana. The rout was completed in the 82nd minute, when J. E. Cordoba Mosquera received a pass from N. Villarreal and finished with confidence.
