Stoke City thrashed Middlesbrough in the League Cup
Stoke City secured a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the second round of the League Cup, played at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough.
The game started at a slow pace, but Stoke City took control from the 14th minute with E. Tezgel’s goal, assisted by L. Koumas.
In the second half, Stoke City were unstoppable. R. Mmaee extended the lead in the 57th minute, and L. Koumas scored the third in the 60th minute. M. Manhoef, who came on in the 62nd minute, completed a brilliant performance with two goals in the 65th and 69th, sealing a historic rout.
