Metz crushes Martigues in a dominant performance
Longeville-lès-Metz, France – Metz secured a resounding 7-0 victory over Martigues in the sixth round of Ligue 2, showcasing their superiority in all aspects of the game.
From the outset, the home team controlled possession and consistently threatened the opposition goal. The opening goal came in the 35th minute courtesy of C. Sabaly, who capitalized on an assist to put Metz ahead 1-0. Just two minutes later, M. Udol doubled the lead with a goal that solidified the home team’s dominance.
Before the end of the first half, Sabaly scored again, this time assisted by Udol, giving Metz a commanding 3-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, Metz maintained their relentless pace and continued their dominance. Sabaly completed his hat-trick in the 48th minute, and Udol scored his second personal goal in the 70th, extending the lead to a daunting 5-0.
The scoreline was rounded off with two more goals: I. Sane in the 81st minute and another from Udol, who sealed the victory with his third personal goal.
