Manchester City dominates Watford in League Cup
Manchester City controlled possession and scoring chances at the Etihad Stadium to defeat Watford 2-1 in the League Cup Third Round.
Pep Guardiola’s side came out strong from the start and opened the scoring in the 5th minute thanks to a goal from J. Doku, who took advantage of a precise pass from J. Grealish. M. Nunes extended the lead in the 38th minute, after an assist from R. Lewis.
Watford, for their part, looked ineffective in attack, but managed to cut the distance through T. Ince in the 86th minute, thanks to an assist from G. Chakvetadze. Despite the final reaction, the result did not change and City secured their passage to the next round.
