Lokomotiv defeats Makhachkala in a thrilling match
Moscow, Russia – Lokomotiv defeated Makhachkala 2-0 in a thrilling match at the RZD Arena, corresponding to the fourth round of the Russian Premier League.
Lokomotiv started strong and opened the scoring in the 10th minute thanks to a goal from I. Samoshnikov, assisted by D. Barinov. The first half was dominated by Lokomotiv, who generated several scoring chances.
In the second half, Makhachkala came out with more intensity, but they were unable to trouble the Lokomotiv goal. In the 64th minute, E. Morozov scored the second goal of the match, after an assist from A. Batrakov.
Makhachkala tried to react, but Lokomotiv defended their lead well and took all three points.
