Millonarios beat La Equidad in an exciting match
Bogotá, D.C. – Millonarios defeated La Equidad 4-1 in an exciting match of the tenth round of the Colombian Primera A Clausura Tournament, played at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo.
The game started with an intense pace and both teams showed an aggressive attitude. La Equidad received two yellow cards in the first minutes, while Millonarios also saw a yellow card at minute 12.
Millonarios dominated the game from the start and opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a goal by Leonardo Castro, assisted by Daniel Cataño. The lead was extended in the 35th minute with a goal by Juan Ernesto Córdoba Mosquera, assisted by Fernando Charrupi.
La Equidad pulled one back in the 49th minute with a goal by Mauricio Payares, assisted by Santiago Gómez. Despite the reaction, Millonarios maintained control of the match and closed the scoring with two more goals: a goal by Daniel Ruiz in the 90th minute, unassisted, and a goal by Leonardo Castro in the 88th minute, assisted by Daniel Ruiz.
With this victory, Millonarios consolidates their position at the top of the table, while La Equidad remains in the middle of the classification.
