Honduras thrashed Trinidad and Tobago in a vibrant match
Tegucigalpa, Honduras – Honduras dominated Trinidad and Tobago in the first round of the CONCACAF Nations League League A with a resounding 4-0 victory. The match was played at the Estadio José de la Paz Herrera Uclés, under the watchful eye of referee M. Penso.
From the start, Honduras controlled the ball, with 61% possession, and created numerous scoring chances. In the 39th minute, Antony López opened the scoring with a precise shot that left the Trinidadian goalkeeper helpless. Soon after, in the 45th minute, Kevin Arriaga extended the lead with a header, after an assist from Lopez.
In the second half, Honduras continued their dominance. Striker Eddie Rodriguez scored the third goal in the 54th minute, thanks to a good assist from Luis Palma. And to complete the rout, Diego Ruiz scored the fourth goal in the 86th minute, sealing a decisive victory for the Honduran team.
Trinidad and Tobago, for their part, could not find their rhythm and were outplayed in all aspects. The few chances they managed to create did not find their way to the Honduran goal.
Honduras dominated all aspects of the game, with a resounding victory that places them as leaders of their group in the CONCACAF Nations League League A.
